Since our founding the Humane Society of Edmonson County has hit the ground running. Here are a few of the great things we've been involved in and help that we've already brought to the animals in Edmonson County.
We kicked off 2017 with a big spay event. The February Fix! We were able to get 20 Edmonson County animals spayed for just $10 each! We were so excited to bring this great program to our community.
HUMANE RALLY DAY
In March two of our board members went to our state capital to represent the animals of Edmonson County during Humane Rally Day. Our Chairperson was even asked to speak. The video can be found here. We love collaborating with other organizations for the betterment of all KY animals!
Hoedown for the Hounds
On April 7th we hosted our first big fundraiser in Brownsville. The first annual Hoedown for the Hounds. it was a fun night of music, dancing, bbq and a live auction.
The rest of April was busy for HSEC as well. We set up at Girl's Day out in Bowling Green and that the Edmonson County Public Library's Spring Fling.
May brought more fur babies through our foster's doors and more tabeling events for volunteers.
It also brought a grant from The Binky Foundation for TNR equipment. We can't thank them enough!
HSK Saturday was a fun event. We loved meeting so many great people and spreading the word about HSEC!
RABIES CLINIC
On June 10th HSEC and All Cats and Dogs Veterinary Hospital hosted the first rabies clinic in Edmonson County since 2011. 46 animals were vaccinated in 2 hours. it was a great success.
