Fostering an animal can be one of the most rewarding experiences in the world. There is nothing like having playful kittens dance around your feet. The joy of an older dog laying at your feet and sigh in contentment, now that the stress of the shelter is, temporarily, gone.
One of the ways to help the babies find their forever homes is to get them used to living in one. Yes, there will be messes, just like with any kid. The hardest part for most is letting them go after having them for a few weeks. The best thing to remember is that you're making room to save another life, and that one is off to live the one it was meant for.
